Tiger Princess Dance Projects: All That Is Between

Only four performances!

From Thursday, September 12 to Saturday, September 14, 2024, tiger princess dance projects proudly presents All That Is Between at Aki Studio. Created by the multi-award-winning dancer & choreographer Yvonne Ng and featuring a remarkable ensemble of Canadian dancers, it’s an evocative dance piece that explores the intricate dynamics of collective identity, and the experience of isolation and human connection.

Profound connections emerging from shared human experiences

Inspired by Ng’s personal experiences, the choreography for All That Is Between weaves in elements of religious ritual, incorporating gestures that have been thoughtfully deconstructed, reconstructed and ultimately reimagined to create a haunting resonance with the audience. These movements serve as raw expressions of loneliness and isolation, revealing the solace we seek in familiarity – whether in solitude or communion with others.

”The central proposition of the work is the exploration of the tensions, strengths and paradoxes between disorder (wordless story in bodies) and connections (power of collective identity). My curiosity around the power of collective identity and collective isolation – what lies under or within our container. All That Is Between explores how comfort is physicalized at individual and institutional levels.”

– Yvonne Ng, tiger princess dance projects Founder & production creator
