The first Sunday of every month – the Art Gallery of Peterborough hosts Family Sunday, offering fun, free and seasonally-themed art-making activities for all ages.
Explore their current exhibitions, then join them in the Art Gallery of Peterborough studio for a seasonally-themed art activity.
Drop in between 1:00 and 4:00 PM and get creative with a fun, season-inspired art-making activity to do with your kids on a Sunday afternoon.
No fee or registration required. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please note: Family Sundays are very popular and studio space is limited. There may be wait times for the art-making activities.
About the Art Gallery of Peterborough
The Art Gallery of Peterborough (AGP) was established in 1974 and opened the doors to its current facility in 1979 on the shore of Little Lake, along the Otonabee River. It is a non-profit public art gallery dedicated to exhibiting and collecting visual works of art. From its inception, the gallery established a primary goal to focus on celebrating Canadian culture, presenting contemporary visual art by artists working in the Peterborough-Kawarthas region and across the nation. Accessibility: Designated accessible parking is available in front of the gallery on Crescent Street. They have automatic doors at their entrance, and their upper and lower levels are connected by a series of ramps. Please note: they do not have an elevator. A wheelchair can be requested for those in need at the front desk. An accessible washroom is located on the main floor next to the Gallery Shop (no automatic door). Main floor washrooms are gender-inclusive and one includes a change table for families with young children. More info here.
