The Second City Toronto presents: Sam Sferrazza records a comedy album

One night only, on Saturday, September 6, 2025 – The Second City Toronto presents stand-up comedian Sam Sferrazza, recording a live comedy album during two performances at the John Candy Box Theatre.

Be part of the studio audience – your laughter will be immortalized forever!

Comedian and online sensation – and one of Toronto’s most beloved acts – Sam Sferrazza records his second stand-up album at iconic comedy club The Second City Toronto. With over 70k social media followers, comedy specials on CBC Gem, and credits like Just For Laughs, Winnipeg Comedy Festival and Departure Fest, Sam is set to deliver his trademark acerbic, energetic rants and raves for this one-night-only event.

Stand-up comedian, writer and improviser Ben Sosa Wright will open the festivities. There will be two shows on the same night (see times below) – with both performances recorded to create the album.

About Sam Sferrazza

Based in Toronto, Sam Sferrazza has been doing stand-up for eight years, building a reputation and online following around his sharp, acerbic takes. He has appeared on The Next Wave of Stand Up and the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, both streaming on CBC Gem, and popular podcasts and radio shows like Canadaland and Day 6. Sam has also performed on festivals all over North America including Departure Festival, JFL Vancouver, JFL Toronto and The Midwest Queer Comedy Festival.
