gritLIT presents: Pages, Pens, and Pints

Connect with fellow book lovers & writers

On the second Sunday of every month, gritLIT hosts Pages, Pens, and Pints, a silent* reading and writing event, at Mosaic Neighbourhood Bar.

Whether you’re starting a new book or working on a writing project, this is your chance to connect with fellow book lovers (without the small talk!) while ordering a drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic options available) at a friendly local Hamilton bar.

Admission is free, registration required. They hope to see you there!

About gritLIT

Established in 2004 by Hamilton writer Krista Foss, the gritLIT Readers & Writers Festival is Hamilton’s annual literary festival, an intimate four-day celebration of Canadian authors. Bringing together diverse voices, and showcasing well-known Canadian authors, emerging talent and local Hamilton writers in a series of readings and themed events, the festival offers audience members the opportunity to get “up close and personal” with their favourite authors and to discover new voices. Since its inception, gritLIT has brought over 400 of the best writers in Canada to Hamilton for readings, writing workshops, panel discussions, interviews and events for youth and children.

* A “silent” reading event means there will be no author reading presentations or works read aloud; folks read to themselves. And, unlike book clubs – which assign books to read – participants chose and bring their own books.
