Dromgoole’s is a family-owned and operated stationery shop based in Houston, Texas. They offer a wide selection of writing instruments and accessories, including previously owned, high-end fountain pens, as wells as a great selection of journals, notebooks, calendars and planners. And their selection of bottled inks includes their own exclusive editions.
Founded in 1961, Dromgoole’s earned a reputation for being the largest typewriter and calculator dealer in Texas. A family operation that’s continued to evolve with each generation, the store opened its current location in the Houston’s Rice Village shopping district in 1965. Their website is set up as an extension of their in-store experience.

What we like about this stationery boutique
We love that Dromgoole’s is a family-owned business – and how the shop’s growth has been inspired by each generation. While some people may think of them as a traditional stationery shop, their offerings include unique and exclusive items that can’t be found anywhere else. And, of course, they also carry more everyday items.
They stock a great selection of calendars, agendas, journals, notebooks, desk supplies and accessories. Check out their new arrivals and you’ll get a good overview of their varied assortment. We could spend hours exploring their curated collection, discovering rare pen models, artisanal paper brands, and pen and notebook accessories. Need a vintage-inspired notebook that fits perfectly into a Traveler’s Notebook cover? They’ve got you covered. (Written by C.M.)
Accessibility information: There are a few steps up to the entrance from the storefront parking lot. The store is on one level.
