From Friday, June 12 to Sunday, June 28, 2026 – Capitol Theatre presents Liars at a Funeral by Sophia Fabiilli. This Canadian comedy turns grief into a hilarious journey, bursting with eccentric characters, witty banter and hidden identities.
Grief has never been so hilarious!
When an estranged family gathers to mourn the passing of Mavis, the family matriarch, the funeral erupts into a more dysfunctional family reunion than any of them could have imagined. If everyone can keep it together, they might just break their intergenerational curse and make it out alive!
Written by Kingston playwright Sophia Fabiilli and directed by Aaron Jan, the cast features Carolyn Fe, Ericka Leobrera, Gregory Soloman, Jane Luk and Aidan deSalaiz.
“Uproariously funny!”
– Keith Tomasek, Stratford Festival Reviews
