Macbeth: A Tale Told by an Idiot

Step into the darkness – and be amazed, horrified and delighted!

Harken to the tale as Shakespeare’s blood-soaked king, weird witches, viscera-sopped murders, nightmares of madness, and terrifying occult prophecies crash head on with this ghoulishly giddy bag of timorous trickery!

Extended! Now running Thursday, February 8 to Saturday, February 24, 2024, Eldritch Theatre presents Macbeth: A Tale Told by an Idiot at Red Sandcastle Theatre. Based on William Shakespeare’s Macbeth, this terrifying tale of deadly ambition and dark magic was conceived by Eric Woolfe, and will be performed by Woolfe, directed by Dylan Trowbridge.

“Macbeth is a weird, and involuntary soothsayer. The Weird Sisters inevitably await him, knowing that he is, in part, their kin.”

– Harold Bloom

Performed by a solo actor using a diverse range of multi-sized puppets, masks and parlour magic, filtered through the cosmically horrific imagery of the Eldritch Theatre Tarot deck, this Mad Mackers is a production like no other! Coinciding with the 400th Anniversary of the play’s premiere, Eldritch Theatre’s Macbeth is bound to amaze, horrify and delight you.
