Toronto Poetry Festival 2026

One day only – Saturday, September 12, 2026 – Toronto Poetry Festival hosts the third iteration of their annual open-air event, featuring poetry readings and spoken word performances by Canadian multilingual poets. Presented at Taylor Creek Park.

About Toronto Poetry Festival

Launched in 2024, Toronto Poetry Festival is a unique celebration of multilingual poets. After completing two well-received iterations, the festival has successfully established itself as an annual fall tradition and is steadily garnering significant interest and popularity within the literary community. It fosters a celebratory atmosphere by featuring a diverse ensemble of poets, including English-language Canadian wordsmiths and multilingual artists presenting original work in their native tongues. The festival embraces Canadian multiculturalism, weaving together the nation’s values of diversity and pluralism, and aspires to use poetry as a means to help create a more peaceful world. Set against the backdrop of the season’s vibrant foliage, the festival remains committed to accessibility, offering free admission to the public with no tickets required.
