Toronto Silent Film Festival 2024

Three days only!
Captivating silent film screenings in a unique film-going experience

From Friday, April 12 to Sunday, April 14, 2024, the Toronto Silent Film Festival presents a lineup of silent film gems at the Revue Cinema, opening with a new restoration of the era’s celebrated masterpiece Pandora’s Box, directed by G.W. Pabst and starring the iconic Louise Brooks. This year’s festival features films from Germany, the USA and France, with some screenings also including short films (see the schedule below), and closes with a documentary exploring the history of slapstick. Each film screening will include live music accompaniment.

Founded in 2009 by Shirley Hughes and Marc Wonnacott, the Toronto Silent Film Festival (TSFF) is an annual volunteer-run, not-for-profit film festival, offering audiences the opportunity to experience the magic of the silent film.
