The first Friday of every month: First Friday Peterborough presents their monthly art crawl event around downtown Peterborough. Enjoy the city’s multifaceted, creative culture with a self-guided tour of galleries, studios, shops and cafés. Each month is different – you never know what you’ll stumble across.
Once a month: Take Cover Books hosts a Film Club at their shop in Peterborough. You are cordially invited to join and come out to watch this month’s movie pick. Sign up for notifications of upcoming screenings. Plus, they have Film Club t-shirts!
PAST EVENT: Two days only – Sat, Sep. 27 & Sun, Sep. 28, 2025: The Art Gallery of Peterborough presents the 41st annual Kawartha Autumn Studio Tour, a free, self-guided behind-the-scenes look at artists’ studios around Peterborough & the Kawarthas. As artists share their work & workspaces, visitors can watch artist demonstrations & learn about different artistic practices & techniques.
PAST EVENT: On Thu, Sep. 11, 2025: Take Cover Books hosts the launch of Terry Kirk’s new novel Pitfall, a gripping, fast-paced story set against the dramatic backdrop of the 1929 Market Crash – the first in a series of historical fiction thrillers.
PAST EVENT: From Thu, Aug. 14 – Sun, Aug. 17, 2025: Peterborough Folk Festival 2025 presents four days of exciting music performances, culture & community on the hillside at Nicholls Oval Park, plus a kick off concert at Market Hall Performing Arts Centre. Ticketed performances Thursday & Friday, with free admission (donations accepted), all-ages programming on Saturday & Sunday.
