Flycatcher Press’ third edition of their popular “obsolete”-themed calendar

Twelve months of total nostalgia: this little desktop calendar will “bring you back” all year long. Housed conveniently in a perspex cassette case, the packaging doubles as a stand. Each month features a different colour illustration of a so-called “obsolete” technology, and you can read more about each invention in the liner notes zine. A small document, poorly researched, but nevertheless written with lots of heart and a hint of sarcasm.

This desktop calendar is designed and printed by Phoebe Todd-Parrish at Flycatcher Press in Toronto, ON, using equally obsolete printing technologies (manual screenprint and letterpress).

About the brand:
Flycatcher Press is a small letterpress and printmaking studio in Toronto, ON. They design and set antique type by hand to produce a line of unique letterpress cards, stationery and fine art prints. They also work alongside artists, designers, and small business owners to create bespoke paper goods and invitations. For Young W, Flycatcher Press has created elements for the analog lifestyle kit – chapter 1 and the historical gift register for the YW Furoshiki Fabric Gift Wrap.
