Shop at Paper Plus Cloth

Paper Plus Cloth

Paper Plus Cloth is a shop that specializes in Japanese stationery and calligraphy supplies. Sourcing paper, pens and accessories from around the world, they carry notebooks, gel pens, stickers, calligraphy tools, fountain pen ink, rubber stamps and ink pads, sealing wax, lots of washi tape, and more.

Located on Queen Street West in Toronto’s Parkdale neighbourhood, they’re also a community space, hosting on-site workshops and events – sometimes in partnership with other organizations and artists – in calligraphy, fountain pen use, watercolour greeting card making, and more. They also offer private group workshops for team building events or celebrations, plus they rent out their space for creative meetings and workshops.

What we like about this stationery boutique

We could spend hours browsing their Japanese stationery selection alone! We love the community vibe of their space, and how their workshops include partnerships with other artists and organizations, like rubber stamp carving with Salt & Paper, and sessions on flourishing, art journaling or wax seals. If you’re able to visit in person, please do – it’s the best way to explore their unique assortment and their beautiful & welcoming space. (Written by C.M.)
