Secret Planet Print Shop

Secret Planet Print Shop, located in Toronto’s Danforth neighbourhood, specializes in space-themed art prints, greeting cards, apparel and housewares. All of their stationery, art and t-shirts are hand-printed and designed on-site. They also love colourful things and cats & dogs, so check out Secret Planet Print Shop for products with fun animal motifs, and printed goods in bright colours.

Owned and operated by designer and screen printer (and OCAD U grad) Jackie, the shop also offers custom printing services, and hosts workshops on screen printing. Creative Club, a monthly arts & crafts event series for adults, also host their events there. In addition to Secret Planet’s own line of hand-printed art products, they also feature local Canadian-made goods, books and zines – engaging the community with local artists and emerging artists’ small publications.

What we like about this art print shop

We love the fun, playful vibe of Secret Planet Print Shop’s art – especially their vintage-inspired space-themed art. A poster called “The True Pioneers of Space Travel”, which features cats, dogs and monkeys, is a favourite. And there’s even one of two astronaut readers!

It’s also very cool that they are not only a print studio & shop, but also an artistic community hub that hosts creative workshops and events. And, just when you thought you couldn’t love this shop more, they also have a reading nook with a selection of books and a community zine library. (Written by C.M.)
