An original sculpture created by Toronto-based artist Aki Witzmann. This is a modern take on the traditional Japanese Daruma doll meant to represent the monk Bodhidharma. The doll is traditionally a symbol of good luck and perseverance, with this sculpture also incorporating the sea and the mythical yokai Bake-Kujira, a vengeful ghost whale skeleton.

This piece is entirely handmade. It is sculpted out of a durable clay, finished with a high-quality epoxy resin and stands on a solid brass base.

Dimensions: 11 x 9.5 x 7.5 cm / 4.3 x 3.7 x 3″

Comes in a solid cherry wood box made by the artist.
