Salt & Paper is a stationery and gift company that specializes in illustrated products and rubber stamping, including DIY kits to make your own rubber stamps. They create greeting cards, stickers and magnets, notepads, hand-carved rubber stamps and more.
The company is owned and operated by Belleville, ON-based illustrator Monika Giacca, who finds product inspiration from the city, pop culture and food. In addition to her line of products, she offers custom illustration and hand-carved rubber stamps. Rubber stamp services feature custom-made products for corporate and personal use, including logos, addresses and rubber stamp portraits (e.g., bride and groom, and even pets!). She also offers rubber stamp carving workshops in partnership with other paper-related companies, like Toronto’s Paper Plus Cloth or Silver Antelope.

What we like about this business
We love the whimsical quality of Salt & Paper’s work and the fine craftsmanship that goes into their illustrations and rubber stamps. We never knew that rubberstamping could be used for so many projects, including portraits! And we especially appreciate that they can do custom orders, and even offer kits for sale so you can create your own rubber stamps at home.
Their collections of stickers and magnets are colourful and fun – and would make a great gift or addition to your own collection. We especially love the Dame Maggie Smith magnet. (Written by C.M.)
