A stationery boutique where lettering arts meets book arts.

Shop at Postscript

Postscript

Run by owner/operator Laura Capp and her passionate team members Liz & Abbi, Postscript is a paper, book and lettering arts boutique located on a charming brick-paved street in Ashland, a small town in Nebraska.

With a focus on high-quality craftsmanship and the art of the handmade, the shop carries supplies for calligraphy and writing and stocks everything you need to add elegant finishing touches to your letters with vintage stamps and wax seals. They also offer a curated selection of books, including children’s titles and beautiful hardcover classics. Plus, they run ‘Poetry by Post’, a unique monthly poetry subscription service that you can gift yourself or a loved one.

The shop also serves coffee and includes a cozy studio space that hosts a variety of workshops in calligraphy, bookbinding, paper crafts, watercolour, hand-lettering and sign painting.

What we love about this boutique

We admire how Postscript brings a modern sensibility to tools from a bygone era. The shop is absolutely gorgeous and filled with so many beautiful pieces. They offer a large selection of greeting cards, desk accessories and pens, but what we love most about them is how Postscript celebrates “old-fashioned” letter writing, physical books and using the mail to send messages – and that they promote and share the renaissance and romance of analog tools that never go out of style. What’s particularly special about them is that they stock supplies to make your letters truly one-of-a-kind: wax seals and bundles of vintage stamps that can still be used for mailing actual letters (from the USA). Plus we’re a big fan of the idea behind their ‘Poetry by Post’ poetry subscription! Everything about this shop just resonates with us and as lovers of Arts & Letters and beautifully made things we hope we one day get to visit Postscript in person. (Written by C.M.)
