Where Walls Meet Sky

PAST EVENT: From Sat, Aug. 22 – Sun, Sep. 13, 2026: St. Anne's Anglican Church presents Where Walls Meet Sky, a site-specific contemporary art exhibition featuring 12 Canadian artists working across sculpture, installation, photography & multidisciplinary practices, with music performances also incorporated. This marks the first time the church will reopen to the public in its current state since a devastating 2024 fire. Free admission; donations accepted.

Toronto Poetry Festival 2026

PAST EVENT: One day only – Sat, Sep. 12, 2026: The Toronto Poetry Festival hosts the third iteration of their annual open-air event. Canadian multilingual poets read poetry & perform spoken word pieces in a serene, natural amphitheatre in Taylor Creek Park. Free admission.

Toronto Outdoor Picture Show presents: Going Places

PAST EVENT: From Fri, Jun. 26 – Sun, Aug. 23, 2026: Toronto Outdoor Picture Show (TOPS) presents their 16th season of open-air cinema programming. Screenings take place throughout the summer at three parks across Toronto: Christie Pits Park, Corktown Common & Bell Manor Park. This year’s theme is Going Places, featuring stories about the journeys we find ourselves on & the new people & places we discover along the way.

Past event: Four tap dancers, one woman & three men, perform, with a drummer and bass player behind them on stage.

Toronto International Tap Dance Festival 2026

PAST EVENT: Three days only – from Fri, Aug. 21 – Sun, Aug. 23, 2026: Toffan Rhythm Projects presents the fourth edition of the biennial Toronto International Tap Dance Festival. For dance fans of all ages, featuring performances, panel discussions, workshops & masterclasses. Presented at four venues in Toronto.

TOFringe KidsFest: The Everlasting Friendship of Billy & Bink

PAST EVENT: From Thu, Jul. 2 – Sun, Jul. 12, 2026: Little Lamb Theatre presents The Everlasting Friendship of Billy & Bink. Created & performed by Will Parry, it’s a new theatre for young audiences (TYA) musical about a human & puppet brother duo who discover what it means to be a friend in the digital age. Presented as a part of the 2026 Toronto Fringe Festival’s KidsFest at Young People’s Theatre. Suitable for ages 5-10 (& everyone else).

By the Word presents: American Devotion

A fictional meeting between Norman Mailer, Marilyn Monroe & Arthur Miller taking place at the height of McCarthyism, this play finds unexpected relevance in the time of Trump.
