Shakespeare BASH’d presents: The Merchant of Venice

Past event: From Thu, Feb. 13 – Sun, Feb. 23, 2025: Join Shakespeare BASH’d at The Theatre Centre for William Shakespeare’s The Merchant of Venice, one of the most controversial & divisive plays ever written. Performed by a group of predominantly Jewish artists, this production investigates the antisemitism, xenophobia & racism in this play, asking how they can make something new & reflect the world we see in front of us.

Bad New Days, in partnership with Common Boots Theatre, presents the world premiere of Last Landscape at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre.

Drag and the divine combine, with performance, puppetry and projection creating an otherworldly spectacle, pulling back the velvet curtain on gender and spirituality in an avant-garde freak show setting that will enthral and delight.
